Vision & Values

The direction of our church journey

Sharing God's Love Together
We believe God's love reaches every person. Regardless of nationality or background, all are welcomed as part of God's family.

Grounded in Scripture
The Bible is the foundation of our faith and life. Through God's Word, we come to know His plan and receive guidance for our daily walk.

Growing Together
The journey of faith is not walked alone. We value supporting one another, praying together, and growing together in Christ.

What We Believe (Our Confession of Faith)

Ibaraki Bible Church Saito Chapel belongs to the Japan Alliance Christ Church, an evangelical denomination rooted in faith in the Bible.

1. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the infallible Word of God, written by the inspiration of God. They reveal Jesus Christ the Savior, teach the way of salvation, and are the one absolute standard for faith and life.

2. God is Spirit and the one almighty Lord. He exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons in one God, equal in essence, power, and glory. God the Father created all things according to his eternal will and sovereignly rules over all that he has made.

3. Humanity was originally created in the image of God and lived in right relationship with him. But tempted by Satan, human beings rebelled against God, sinned, and damaged the image of God within them. Therefore, all people are born under sin and misery, and are sinful in thought, word, and deed. By their own power, they cannot return to God or do good that pleases his will, but are headed for eternal destruction.

4. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only Son of God the Father. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is truly God and truly man. To redeem us from our sins, he died on the cross, was buried, and rose again on the third day, giving us the sure promise of eternal life. He now sits at the right hand of God the Father as our great High Priest and intercedes for us.

5. By grace, the Holy Spirit reveals the Father and the Son to us, convicts us of sin, grants forgiveness, causes us to be born again, and makes us children of God. A person is justified not by works, but solely through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died in our place. The Holy Spirit also dwells in believers, sanctifies us, enables us to do God’s will, remains with us as Helper and Comforter until the end of the age, and makes us co-heirs with Christ.

6. The Church is the body of Christ, called out by the Holy Spirit, and Christ is its head. All who have been redeemed are members of that body. The church on earth, while awaiting the return of the Lord, stands on the truth of Scripture, keeps worship, administers the sacraments, values church discipline, and proclaims the gospel to every creature. At the end of time, the Lord Jesus Christ will return bodily and judge the living and the dead. He will make all things new and hand over the kingdom to God the Father.
